Anita and Sean’s Whalsay Wedding

I was particularly excited when asked to photograph Anita and Sean’s big day as it would be my first wedding in Whalsay.  Considering it was February, the weather was kind with the sun shining as I boarded the morning ferry.

On arrival in Whalsay I met up with Sean and his best men before making the short journey to see Anita and her bridesmaids.  The marriage took place in the Isbister Hall followed by a stop at Fernlea to visit Anita’s Granny.  We finished up at the Symbister Hall for the meal provided by Julie Halcrow and musical entertainment by talented local band The Bashies.
