Shetland MRI Scanner Appeal

Pictured above are Gwen Angus (left) and Emma Williamson (right), Senior Staff Nurses at the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.  They work in the Gilbert Bain Accident and Emergency department and you may recognise them from BBC's Island Medics series (link).Gwen and Emma are supporting a new fundraising campaign to raise £2m for an MRI scanner.  The scanner will be located at the Gilbert Bain in Shetland so patients don't have to travel south to the mainland.Full information is available on the recently launched website at http://www.shetlandmriscannerappeal.com/.  Since launch, the total sum raised is already at £20,309.-Ben
