The 'Shadowed Valley' Photowalk - sign up now
The 'Shadowed Valley' Photowalk: this year's Shetland leg of the Worldwide Photo Walk (click HERE to sign up) will be in the picturesque Weisdale Valley; the setting of John Graham's novel. Reflect on the history of the area and it's abandoned crofthouses brought about by the clearances of the 19th century, with the surroundings providing ample opportunity for photography with an abundance of nature. Explore the trees around Kergord, track the burn snaking its way through the valley, investigate the water mill or enjoy the gardens at the Weisdale Kirk.We will start off at Bonhoga Gallery, Weisdale. After a brief introduction, we'll take a group shot of everyone before you can disperse and start shooting! Ben will be on hand to try and help answer any questions you may have. You may also have an opportunity to try out a fellow photo walker's piece of camera equipment or share ideas with them. At 2pm we'll rendezvous back at the Bonhoga Cafe within the Weisdale Mill to share experiences and to have a drink to warm up!
