Karlin & Bryan's Hoswick Wedding

Karlin and Bryan’s beautiful wedding had so many special elements, with so many of their wedding choices linked to their local area, giving an overriding sense of being rooted in one place – the perfect symbolism for their marriage.

Karlin is a talented jeweller who runs her own business, Karlin Anderson Jewellery, now based in Hoswick, her workshop providing the location for the ceremony.  Karlin has shared more details about the process of crafting her wedding jewellery and their wedding rings in blog entries on her website, but you can have a sneak preview in some images below!  Thanks to Karlin and Bryan for allowing me to share the photographs and information from their special day.

Bride and Groom: Karlin and Bryan

Wedding Date: 10th July 2021

Make Up: Lauren White Makeup Artist, based in Hoswick provided the beautiful and natural makeup that Karlin was looking for.

Flowers: Stems

Ceremony location: The Beach Road Workshop, Hoswick – Karlin’s place of work which provided the ideal backdrop for the outdoor wedding.

Ceremony: Kipper (Christopher Anderson) was the perfect person to marry the couple; as a pastor based in Edinburgh he represented Karlin’s faith and also previously played in Bongshang with Bryan.

Music: Peter Wood played the bagpipes for the bridal party’s arrival, and music after the ceremony was provided by Peter Gear, JJ Jamieson and Neil Preshaw from Bongshang.

Reception:  Still keeping things local, the Hoswick Visitor Centre was the ideal location just a stone’s throw from the ceremony.

Meal/Catering: Julie Halcrow Catering (Sandwick) did an amazing job and was the natural choice for the wedding.

Cake:  The Cake Fridge

It was such a pleasure working with you during this beautiful wedding - wishing you every happiness.

-Ben
