Gemma & Alan’s Town Hall Wedding

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Small who were married recently at 'da Big Kirk'. Gemma and Alan are both extremely talented musicians with The Lomond Ceilidh Band, and I enjoyed seeing some nods to their profession dotted around various aspects of their wedding, including in their wedding rings!

Memorable Photographic Moment: Gemma grew up in Whiteness so the couple were keen to have photographs taken at one of Shetland's most iconic viewpoints - the Whiteness böd. I've taken scenic couple shots a few times from the top of Wormadale with Whiteness Voe in the distance (and indeed have photos featuring the böd from a distance from my own wedding!), but have never photographed a bride and groom up close. It was a great opportunity for photos, made even more special because it was so local to Gemma's childhood home.
